Monaco legend auctions | 19 October
Always interesting pieces at MLG. Great place for vintage and rare. Always do your own due diligence.
Lot 33 Cartier Coussin Bamboo in white gold
Super rare and interesting Cartier. As you might know these are from the 1972 Louis Cartier collection produced by Ebel. Of this collection estimated less than 10% was produced in white gold and I believe more utmost 1/20.
Estimate € 30000 - 60000

Lot 71 Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Milspec 1
Haven't done the best research on Fifty Fathoms such as serial ranges etc. Crown seems to be a service part to my knowledge. Case size 36mm seems to be to small. This might be a steal. But buyer do your own research. Cause estimate is really low here. Piece had been sold before at MLG october 2023 for 32.500 euros inc premium.
Estimate: €5,000 – 10,000

Lot 102 Rolex panna Daytona
Panna is Italian for cream. The Panna dials can be found on several models, the Rolex Daytona with reference 116520 and the Rolex Explorer II with reference 16550. But we also see them sometimes in Daytona 16520 and Rolex Explorer II 16570.
For the 116520 it's the perfect combination. Sapphire glass with a super cool dial with vintage appeal. You get the inhouse modern Rolex movement instead of the old Zenith. The panna dials only occur with reference 116520 Daytonas produced between 2000 and 2002 with serial numbers in the P, K, and Y ranges have exhibited this distinctive change.Best of both worlds. Still a very under appreciated reference.
Estimate: €20,000 – 40,000

Lot 167 Breitling duograph
Reading Hodinkee you might have figured out that vintage split second chronographs are a rare type of watches. These are my personal favorite complications. Super playful and vivid. They are a testimony of a begone era when the measurement of time was done with mechanical devices. This is the perfect piece of evidence. And super rare. Catch it before watchfred does it;-)
Estimate: €20,000 – 40,000

Lot 170 Rolex gilt Submariner 5512

Estimate: €50,000 – 100,000

Lot 191 Daniel Roth first gen tourbillion
Early Daniel Roth Tourbillons are just awesome cool pieces. They have the old style Breguet look and feel which was so nice translated in the 80/90s Breguet pieces by the master watchmaker Daniel Roth, but then combined with his typical case shape from his own independent brand. Hate it or love it. And for these early pieces I love it. Don't mind the patina. That's dirty cool.
Estimate: €35,000 – 70,000

Lot 234 Vacheron Constantin chronograph
This VC chronograph has the fancy lugs which were later reinroduce by the modern malte pieces. What i really like in particular about old VC pieces is there case finish. The perfect play of satinated or brushed parts of the midcase versus the more polished parts such as the bezel and lugs. With these pictures you cant really tell the condition of the brushed parts of the midcase. But this looks to be a very attractive condition nevertheless.
Estimate: €25,000 – 50,000
Lot 267 Patek Philippe platinum hour glass
These hour glass Patek Phillipe pieces pop up now and then. In platinum they are super nice and quite rare. And yes pairing is caring. With a white gold bracelet it just looks beyond cintree cool.
Estimate: €35,000 – 70,000

Lot 271 Vacheron Constantin ss 4072 chronograph
Again a Vacheron. Yes one of my favorite brands. Dont know it’s gonna be a steal but it’s a steel Vacheron constantin 4072 chronograph. Right size 34mm where the Patek 130 used to be a bit tinier and in this metal with the two-tone dial and golden accents its just looks immaculate.
