Here are some of the interesting lots of this first neo vintage theme auction.

Lot 5 Breguet two tone tourbillon

This is just a really nice combo that works pretty well since the yellow gold resonated really well with the pik gold of the mid case.

  • Estimate
  • CHF25,000 - 50,000
  • €26,700-53,400
  • $29,200-58,400

Lot 6 Audemars Piquet wandering hours minute repeater

What a super cool piece. Last year AP reintroduced the super interesting wandering hours complication with the CODE 11:59. But this little watch also adds a minute repeater. Small watch but really impressive!

  • Estimate
  • CHF25,000 - 50,000
  • €26,700-53,400

Lot 16 Blancpain possibly unique yellow gold world time automatic wristwatch and J.P. Hagmann case

Blancpain Worldtime from the legendary Biver/Piguet era? say what!

During Blancpain's 1980s-1990s revival, masterminds Biver and Piguet crafted six “Masterpieces” representing the pinnacle of watch complications: the ultra-slim, full calendar moonphase, perpetual calendar, chronograph, minute repeater, and tourbillon. By the late ’80s, Blancpain had released all these complications and even started combining them in single models.

However, a worldtime wristwatch was never part of this collection, nor listed in Blancpain’s catalogues. Jean-Claude Biver confirmed this piece is a unique prototype, never produced in series. The worldtime mechanism, developed by Svend Andersen, drew from Cottier’s 1940s design, with all functions controlled via the crown. Renowned case maker JP Hagmann, whose initials appear inside the caseback, crafted the case.

Although stamped with “No. 3,” this Blancpain Worldtime is the only known example, now making its auction debut nearly 30 years after production.

Estimate
CHF15,000 - 30,000
€16,000-32,000
$17,500-35,000

Lot 19 Andersen Geneve A stupendous unique white gold minute repeating retrograde perpetual calendar wristwatch with bracelet, J.P. Hagmann case and documentation

This is as good as it gets. Svend Andersen co-founded the AHCI – Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants - in 1985. In 1989 he developed the smallest calendar watch (6.5 x 17.4mm) ever produced; roughly the size of a match head. What we have here is one of his unique pieces made from an old caliber presumably an ebauche perfected by Patek and then modified by Svend Andersen. Case has been made by J.P. Hagmann. If you want to know more about the peculiarity of a quite similar kind of watch just check the Hodinkee video Talking Watches with Yoshihide Isogai – Former President Of Shellman Watches In Tokyo

Estimate
CHF80,000 - 160,000
€85,400-171,000
$93,400-187,000

Lot 25 Patek Philippe 3970EG 2nd series super rare

The 3970 perpetual chronograph isn't a rare watch by. But it's a great watch with a super nice size and very reminiscent of the 2499. In white gold it actually is rare watch. And it will most likely fetch the 200k mark.

  • Estimate
  • CHF80,000 - 160,000
  • €85,400-171,000
  • $93,400-187,000

Lot 49 Breguet 4617 perpetual chronograph

When you compare the Breguet perpetual calendar chronograph with the Patek 3970 you have a watch that is about 50-100 times more rare in numbers. Also based on the Lemania caliber 2310. Also finished really nice. Only thing is the Breguet has a real nice hand made guilloche dial. In platinum a really really rare bird. Estimated 5 to 10 pieces.

  • Estimate
  • CHF25,000 - 50,000
  • €26,700-53,400
  • $29,200-58,400

Lot 56 Audemars Piquet Shaeffer minute repeater

Het we go with another AP Sheaffer case. Now only with a minute repeater. Open dial. Yes aint too bad either;-)

  • Estimate
  • CHF25,000 - 50,000
  • €26,700-53,400
  • $29,200-58,400

Lot 62 Patek perpetual calendar chronograph pink gold square

These  patek 5020 perpetual calendar chronographs are shaped a bit like the Cartier Tortue. Bit less elongated as a tonneau shape and therefore more square. It is actiuually one the rarest modern perpetual calendar chronograph references. With the Breguet numerals it is just a gorgeous looking watch. And also more affordable than the round contemporary 5970

  • Estimate
  • CHF80,000 - 160,000
  • €84,900-170,000
  • $94,800-190,000
