Van Cleef & Arpels: Conversations on Poetic Complications
You'll know by now how we feel about Van Cleef & Arpels at THC. Over the past two years we've had the chance to speak with some of the people behind the Maison's Poetic Complications.
William Faura
William Faura, Director of Watchmaking & Art Mechanics Development, calls himself "a conductor of a watchmaking orchestra". His role is connecting the creative studio, engineers and watchmakers to turn stories into ticking poetry. His three ingredients that turn a timepiece into a companion are a good story, a good theme and emotion. And with automata, that's where you truly learn to give mechanics a soul.
Hands-on with three signature timepieces
With a heritage in watchmaking since 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels continues to bring poetry and wonder to timekeeping. We went hands-on with three signature pieces.
Pascal Narbeburu
We also chatted with Pascal Narbeburu, Timepieces Director, about his thoughts on the brand and his favourites.
Read about our visit to the Poetry of Time exhibition in Hong Kong, including rapid-fire questions with Rainer Bernard, Director of Research and Development.
